PITCH DEVELOPMENT PROJECT: To mark the closure of our current pitch, we will be hosting ‘The Final Poc’ on Saturday July 11 from 9.00am to 6.00pm in our club. A great event is planned. SENIOR INTER-COUNTY HURLERS: Best wishes to Cian, Aaron and Diarmaid in the All-Ireland Hurling Championship semi-final on Sunday July 5.

JUNIOR B HURLERS: The Junior B hurlers won the City Championship after a dominant display against Na Piarsaigh. Peter Harty scored a goal within 30 seconds and Patrickswell were 1-5 to 0-3 ahead within fifteen minutes (Andrew Carroll 0-3, Peter Harty and Nigel Foley). Josh Carey notched our second goal, Andrew Carroll added three more points and Peter Harty claimed a point of his own. At the interval, Patrickswell were 2-9 to 0-6 ahead.

The second half started brightly for the ‘Well. Rory Foley produced a pair of quick points, followed up by Andrew Carroll, Paddy Gardiner and Peter Harty. The lead was now 2-14 to 0-8. Patrickswell were unstoppable as six more points were accumulated in the next ten minutes (Andrew Carroll 0-2, John Long 0-2, Rory Foley and Nigel Foley). There were five minutes left and the lead was now 2-20 to 0-11. Rory Foley and Andrew Carroll chipped in with more points, before Andrew Carroll fired home a third goal that his performance deserved. Na Piarsaigh scored a goal and a point in the embers of the game, but Patrickswell emerged as 3-22 to 1-12 winners.

CAMOGIE: The Senior camogie team beat Killeedy in the Senior Cup semi-final to set up a final against Granagh Ballingarry.

INTER-COUNTY MINOR HURLERS: The big news story of the weekend was Limerick’s All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship victory over Tipperary. Ryan Foley, Eoin Hennessy, John Murray, Callum Butler and John Cahill (management team) were instrumental to this success, which showed Limerick’s resilience and courage against a favoured opponent.

CLUB LOTTO: The Club Lotto draw on Monday June 22 was not won. The numbers drawn were 9, 17, 23 and 26. The bonus number was 16. The €50 Lucky Dips were won by Mike Mulqueen and Sheila Morrissey, while the €20 prizes were claimed by Jacqueline Finucane, Catherine Foley, DJ Daly, Gary Kirby, Denis Crean and Patricia Carroll.
