SENIOR HURLERS: Patrickswell visit Doon in the County League on Saturday May 16 at 4.00pm
JUNIOR FOOTBALLERS: The footballers secured a last gasp victory over hosts Killeedy in the County League. It took twenty minutes for Killeedy to register the first point of the match, with a cool wind affecting the scoring opportunities. Patrickswell bounced back with three straight points from John Murray, Jonathan McMahon and Jack McNamara. The home team nabbed the final point of the first half to leave Patrickswell 0-3 to 0-2 ahead.
The second half began perfectly for the ‘Well as points from David Woulfe, Jack McNamara and Paddy McGrath were embellished by a goal from Peter Harty. We were 1-6 to 0-2 ahead on 40 minutes. However, Killeedy were in the ascendancy and outscored Patrickswell by seven points to one point across the next fifteen minutes (John Murray). Our lead was the bare minimum of 1-7 to 0-9. Jason Gillane scored a point, but Killeedy rallied with three unanswered points. We had fallen behind by 0-12 to 1-8 with a minute left. Patrickswell won a late free from distance and Jason Gillane took responsibility for dispatching a fine two-pointer. Patrickswell triumphed by 1-10 to 0-12. The result ensures a League Final.
CLUB LOTTO: The Club Lotto draw on Tuesday May 5 was not won. The numbers drawn were 7, 11, 12 and 32. The bonus number was 20.
