JUNIOR B HURLERS: Patrickswell produced a stirring second half display to beat Croagh Kilfinny in the Premier Junior B Hurling quarter final. The opening fifteen minutes were competitive and the teams were inseparable. Peter Harty’s goal and Nigel Foley’s two points made the scores level at 1-2 to 0-5. Peter Harty’s second goal and fresh points from Peter Harty and Paudie Maher gave Patrickswell a 2-4 to 0-8 lead with a few minutes left in the first half, but Croagh Kilfinny hit the net and they reached the interval at 1-8 to 2-4 ahead.

The second half performance from Patrickswell was sparkling. At the beginning, there was a flurry of three points from Darragh Ahern, Peter Harty and Paudie Maher – followed by a Seanie O’Brien goal. Patrickswell now held a five point advantage of 3-7 to 1-8. A fresh exchange of two points apiece (Peter Harty and Darragh Ahern) kept Croagh Kilfinny in the hunt at 3-9 to 1-10. Remarkably, Peter Harty notched his third, fourth and fifth goals of the match to crush our opponents’ defiance. Two more Nigel Foley points ensured a 6-11 to 1-12 win. Peter Harty’s personal tally was five goals and three points.

JUNIOR C HURLERS: The Junior C hurlers lost to Na Piarsaigh and concluded their season.
