SENIOR HURLERS: Patrickswell bowed out of the Senior Hurling Championship despite a comprehensive win over Kildimo-Pallaskenry. The game started with six consecutive points (Cian Lynch, Aaron Gillane 0-2, Jason Gillane 0-2 and Patrick Kirby) before Kevin O’Brien hit the net. Following that, Patrickswell overwhelmed our opponents with another eight points without reply (Diarmaid Byrnes, Patrick Kirby, Evan Fitzgerald, Jason Gillane 0-3, Aaron Gillane and Andrew Carroll). We were now seventeen points clear. Aaron Gillane struck Patrickswell’s second goal and Diarmaid Byrnes added a point, before Kildimo-Pallaskenry struck two points in the 29th and 30th minutes. One more point from Andrew Carroll was matched. The half-time score was 2-16 to 0-3.

To their credit, Kildimo-Pallaskenry rallied in the second half. In the opening exchanges, Patrickswell stretched our lead to 24 points at 3-23 to 0-8, thanks to Aaron Gillane’s second goal and points from Jason Gillane 0-3, Patrick Kirby, Kevin O’Brien 0-2 and Andrew Carroll. However, Patrickswell relaxed and Kildimo-Pallaskenry added two goals and three points in a flurry, when compared to Patrickswell’s four points (Aaron Gillane, Jason Gillane 0-2 and Hughie Maher). With a few minutes left, we led by 3-27 to 2-11. Kildimo-Pallaskenry ended the match with three unanswered points. The end result was 3-27 to 2-14.

JUNIOR C HURLERS: The Junior C hurlers are slated to face Na Piarsaigh in Caherdavin on Wednesday September 23 at 8.00pm.

CAMOGIE: Our Senior Camogie team secured their senior status for 2027 with victory over Ahane. Their reward is a Plate Final. The Junior ladies lost away to Croagh Kilfinny.
