SENIOR HURLERS: The Championship returns with our third match against Mungret St. Paul’s on Saturday August 31 at 4.00pm in Claughaun. Tickets must be purchased in advance on the Limerick GAA website.

JUNIOR A HURLERS: Patrickswell face Ballybricken Bohermore on Sunday September 1 at 1.00pm in Old Christians Rathbane. Tickets must be purchased in advance on the Limerick GAA website.

UNDER 20 HURLERS: Patrickswell began their Championship campaign with a tough match against ABK Desmonds. The opening ten minutes were played at a whirlwind pace, with ABK Desmonds opening a 1-4 to 0-3 lead (Dayle McDonagh, John Murray and Hugh Maher). The scoring rate slowed down significantly and the margin was 1-5 to 0-4 after 18 minutes. Desmonds went on a points spree when they notched four scores in just two minutes. Patrickswell now trailed by 1-9 to 0-4 on 20 minutes. Liam Fitzgerald’s goal and point energised Patrickswell, but Desmonds were 1-11 to 1-5 ahead at the break.

Despite Cathal Fitzgerald claiming the first point of the second half, the game was out of reach when our opponents scored two goals and two points in eight minutes. In the 40th minute, we trailed by 3-13 to 1-6. Dayle McDonagh’s point was met with another barrage of a goal and three points in two minutes. With 13 minutes left, Desmonds led by 4-16 to 1-7. The teams traded three points apiece across ten minutes before Patrickswell finished strongly with a Dayle McDonagh point and Paddy McGrath goal. The final score was a 4-19 to 2-11 reverse.

MINOR HURLERS: Patrickswell recorded a comfortable victory over Knockaderry. The ‘Well roared into an eight point lead after ten minutes, with John Murray and Ryan Foley scoring three apiece. The remaining twenty minutes of the first half were much quieter as Rory Foley, John Murray and Eoin Hennessy put Patrickswell 0-11 to 0-0 ahead.

The onslaught continued in the opening stages of the second half. Three goals were plundered by Dayle McDonagh, Conor Enright and Josh Mulcahy and three points were added to the tally. To their credit, Knockaderry recorded two points. In the 40th minute, the scoreline was 3-14 to 0-2. The final phase saw Michael Lynn score Patrickswell’s fourth goal in a 4-17 to 0-3 triumph.

INTERMEDIATE CAMOGIE: Patrickswell beat Galbally by 4-19 to 1-10 in the Championship opener. Their next fixture is away to Templeglantine on Sunday September 1 at 11.00am

CLUB LOTTO: The Club Lotto draw on Monday August 19 was not won. The numbers drawn were 14, 15, 21 and 32. The bonus number was 18. The €50 Lucky Dips were won by Margo Foster and Noah Lynch, while the €20 prizes were claimed by Kevin O’Connell, Mary Gillane, Stephanie Hogan, Gary Kirby, Delma Kiely and Chris Fitzgerald. This week’s jackpot is €13,400.
