JUVENILE CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: The Juvenile Club AGM was extremely well attended in the clubhouse. Chairman John Murphy welcomed the attendees before Secretary Peter Maher delivered a comprehensive summary of the year’s events.
Natal O’Grady spoke in his capacity as Director of Hurling. He welcomed the fact that players were benefitting from an increased amount of training and coaching interactions. Natal encouraged the children to enjoy themselves, while reaching their full potential at the same time. He thanked coaches and parents for engaging with him and he outlined the goal of producing Senior hurlers in the years to come. Natal wants to foster a culture of hard work and to make strength & conditioning second nature to the players when they reach the adult club.
John McDermott addressed the meeting as Chairman of Patrickswell GAA Club (senior club). He offered the Juvenile Club the continued and unwavering support of the senior club. John noted that it is vital to get parents on board and grow our club. Child welfare remains the #1 priority and he expressed his wish that every child enjoys their hurling. John paid tribute to the coaches for the immense effort they gave in 2022 and he wished them every success in 2023.
PATRICKSWELL’S FANTASTIC CLUB DRAW: The Club’s fundraising draw is going strong both online and in local shops. The fabulous prize is a brand new Toyota C-HR hybrid car. CLUB LOTTO: The Club Lotto draw on Tuesday January 10 was not won. The numbers drawn were 2, 19, 25 and 29. The bonus number was 21. The €100 Lucky Dip was won by Breda McDermott and the €20 prizes were claimed by Mary Moore, Triona & John, Amy O’Donnell, John Conway and Josie Foley. This week’s jackpot is €3,800.
