CLUB LIMERICK DRAW 2021: It’s that time of the year again! The first Club Limerick draw is scheduled for Saturday March 27, with a monthly first prize of €10,000. The exclusive March draw prize is an 8th generation Apple iPad. The Club Limerick Draw is a regular feature in Patrickswell and Limerick’s fundraising calendar – with hundreds of prizes available every year.

We would ask existing Patrickswell subscribers to support the draw again. New members are most welcome. Please contact your usual promoter or register online at https://limerickgaa.ie/club-limerick-draw/ or contact Seamus O’Riordan at 0872869175

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY: The club would like to wish all its members and supporters a happy St. Patrick’s Day.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS: Once clarity has been given, the GAA will push ahead with developing a programme for the remaining time left in the 2021 calendar. A revised Master Fixture List will be prepared once the Government Roadmap for Society and Sport is made available.

CON AND ANNIE KIRBY MEMORIAL STAKE: Limerick Greyhound Stadium are busy preparing for the commencement of the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stake 2021, with a total prize fund of over €150,000.  The event which will be hosted behind closed doors and traditionally would involve thousands of GAA greyhound racing and Limerick GAA fans, is to go ahead this year with a virtual support programme of events.

As per previous years, each participating club will be asked to register their interest in advance and each will be assigned one of the 70 plus greyhounds that are entered in the Classic event.  As the greyhound progresses in the competition, so do the nominating club.  Each club is in with a chance to share in a €20,000 prize-fund (with an impressive €10,000 to the winning club).

Individuals and clubs will be asked to submit videos and pictures, of events that would have featured in the original event itinerary.  Details will be posted on the Limerick Greyhound Stadium website, as well as its Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts using #Kirby2021 hashtag.  Limerick Greyhound Stadium will bring together a judging panel to decide on winners each week, and a compilation video featuring the events highlights.  Over the course of the five-week schedule, different activity challenges will be launched and will include Virtual Trophy Parade, Colouring Competition, Banner Parade and Puc & Cic Fada.

This year, Limerick Greyhound Stadium have also launched their Virtual Fundraising package with the Con & Annie Kirby and Limerick GAA in mind.  The concept is based on “bringing the club spirit directly to the home” and is now available for any club wishing to raise funds safely, while joining in on the Con & Annie Kirby buzz. The 2021 competition will officially commence on Saturday 27th March.

TEAM LIMERICK CLEAN-UP:  The annual Team Limerick Clean Up 6 #TLC6 takes place on Good Friday April 2.

Limerick GAA has been at the heart of this initiative since it began and look forward to continuing to support the day which celebrates Pride in Limerick and Care for the Environment. This year, due to the restrictions, clean ups can only be confined to within your own home boundary. You can still register your participation in the clean up by registering on www.teamlimerickcleanup.ie before March 21.
