Under 14 City Football League Patrickswell 7 - 03 Kildimo 0 - 02 Friday, 9'th of April 2004 @ 7 pm in Kildimo Our Under 14 footballers have also played two matches in the league. The lads comprehensively beat Ballyrown in Patrickswell on Monday, 29'th of March, and more recently overcame Kildimo on Good Friday. The match against Pallaskenry had to be postponed due to the unavailability of a match official. Under 14 City Feile na Gael Final Patrickswell 2 - 02 Na Piarsaigh 3 - 08 Friday, 2'nd of April 2004 @ 6.30 pm in Mungret Our Under 14 hurlers gave a very spirited performance against a very strong and talented Na Piarsaigh outfit. The match was very close for the opening 15 minutes until Na Piarsaigh hit a purple patch in front of goals to take a commanding lead into the break. To the lads immense credit they battled valiantly in the second half and scored 2 - 01 through Lar Considine. Unfortunately, this was not to be our day however, this performance filled everyone with huge pride and points towards better days ahead. We send our best wishes to a very talented and sporting Na Piarsaigh team in the County semi-final against Knockaderry. Under 14 Hurling Challenge Our under 14 hurlers had a very good challenge match against the best of the City Primary schools on Friday, 26'th of March in Patrickswell. The City schools team are managed by our very own Ciaran Crowe and David Bulfin (Patrickswell N.S.) and John Tuohy (St. Pauls N.S.); the City schools team are preparing for the upcoming Mackey Cup, in which they have drawn the West schools, who are going for 3 in a row. The South schools and the East schools make up the other semi-final. On behalf of the Under 14 management in Patrickswell we wish Ciaran, John, David and the Patrickswell boys on the team all the best in the Mackey Cup. Under 14 Feile na Gael Patrickswell 4 - 08 Mungret 1 - 05 Sunday, 21'st of March 2004 @ 11am in Mungret Our Under 14 hurlers overcame the challenge of a very strong Mungret side in the semi-final of the feile na gael played at Mungret on a very wet and cold Sunday morning, 21'st of March. We now play Na Piarsaigh in the city Final on Friday, 2'nd of April. Feile na Gael Our Under 14 team had their first competitive outing of the year in the 2004 Feile na Gael with a comprehensive win over arch rivals Ballybrown Sunday morning 14/3/04.
